SS20 - This mini collection was inspired by traditional quilt making and the homey feeling that is often brought on by using a well loved blanket or being in bed. Made up of a mix of old cotton sheets and linen, this collection consists of traditional quilting techniques including, appliqué, yoyo's and decorative stitching to keep two or more layers of fabric together.
This collection also experiments with creating different pieces while using the same base pattern by changing certain aspects of the design like gathering and darts. Six out of the seven all use the same base pattern but have different skirts with different gathers or a different number of darts to change the silhouette.
To this day I am still creating different variations of these dresses.
